FAQs

Comfort-Truss is designed for reducible inguinal hernias, both direct or indirect.

Most hernia belts are bulky, uncomfortable, and not designed for people who want to stay active or manage their hernia naturally. Comfort-Truss was created by someone who couldn’t find a belt that worked, so he made one that does. It’s lightweight, low profile, and supportive enough to wear all day, whether you’re waiting for surgery or pursuing natural recovery.

That really comes down to personal preference. I (George) personally wear the single-side hernia belt because I prefer to keep things as minimal as possible and avoid wearing anything more than I need. The single belt also allows for more targeted compression directly over the hernia, which usually makes it more effective at holding it in.

That said, plenty of people still choose the double-side hernia belt even with a hernia on just one side. Some like the way it feels more balanced from one side to the other, while others wear it as a preventative measure in case a hernia ever develops on the opposite side. It won’t cause any harm to go that route, but just keep in mind the double is a bit bulkier due to the extra leg strap and the wider front pad that covers both sides.

Yes, iComfort-Truss Minimalist was deigned to be worn under your underwear against the skin. This will give the best support, and also allow you to keep it on at all times throughout the day, even while using the toilet.

View our instructions page for info about how to correctly put on and take off the Comfort-Truss.

Comfort-Truss is designed with a minimalist approach that works well for most people, as reflected in our customer reviews. However, every hernia is different. In some cases, the hernia may be too advanced or internal pressure too great for our minimalist design to provide the desired support.

Because of this, we believe it would be misleading to guarantee that Comfort-Truss will work for everyone. While many people find relief using it, we do not offer a universal guarantee on the product.

We do not recommend wearing the Comfort-Truss while sleeping.

Yes, it will. Many women have used Comfort-Truss successfully, and several have left 5-star reviews sharing their positive experiences. You can find their feedback by browsing the product reviews on our site.

    So far so good!

I've worn my truss all day, every day, except in bed; and, so far so good! The support and lack of pain is magical. I will be considering surgery, but until then, I'll be wearing my Comfort-Truss. 👍

    Exceeded my expectations

In the past I have always used minimalist belts and have been extremely satisfied with them. However, I am about to go away for several weeks and decided to try a Heavy Duty Belt. Sizing wise I ordered the same size for both of these belts. During the period away I will most likely be experiencing more strain on the hernia area which is improving, so I don't want to undo the good work I've done on the hernia.

I had expected the heavy duty belt to be a lot more more bulky and restrictive because of it's construction than it is. Of course it is to some extent but overall the experience of wearing it isn't as drastic as I had assumed it would be. It is comfortable and adds the extra stability I was looking for, also because of it's construction it doesn't stretch as much as a minimalist belt so will maintain it's structure and durability longer than the minimalist belt.

I think it's a great combination to have both belts at my stage of working on the hernia. For an in-between support adding a Power T Strap to a minimalist belt works well, so that covers all possible scenarios for me.

    Best Of The Best

Well, I have tried several hernia belts and this one

out performs them all. The design is just what I had

always thought a belt should be like.None of the other

bran's even came close. After 5 days of use this is the only

one that keeps my hernia in place with comfort , most of the time

I can't even tell I have it on.

    Thanks Comfort-Truss

    Doesn't Work For Me!

Despite pictures and description of the location of my hernia the "pocket" of the HD single side belt is almost 4" higher than my hernia! The extra pads I purchased are useless! The only redeeming thing is that the strap that goes from the front to back via the crotch just happens to cross over the hernia! Is it enough to keep the hernia in? I don't think so, but I'll try...

The Comfort-Truss hernia belts are designed for an inguinal hernia only. If the pad is 4 inches higher than your hernia, you most likely do not have an inguinal hernia. It sounds like you might have a femoral hernia, which these belts are not designed for.
