Comfort-Truss is designed for reducible inguinal hernias only.
This really comes down to personal preference. For me (George) personally I only wear the single side because I really do not like having to wear anything “extra” than what is absolutely necessary, but there are plenty of people who wear a double even though they only have a hernia on one side. It definitely will not hurt to do it that way. Just keep in mind that the double belt is a bit more bulky because of the extra leg strap and the wider pad in the front to cover both sides.
Yes, it was deigned to be worn under your underwear against the skin. This will give the best support, and also allow you to keep it on at all times throughout the day, even while using the toilet.
View our instructions page for info about how to correctly put on and take off the Comfort-Truss.
Hand wash only, luke warm water, mild detergent, air dry out of direct sunlight.
As per our return policy, we can only take back items that are in brand new unworn condition, which are still in the original sealed package. If your item is still in the original sealed package, please take a look at our return policy for information on how to initiate a return.
The Comfort-Truss holds minimalism at the forefront of it's design characteristics. Although it works well for most people who use it (as seen in our product reviews), there is a small percentage of people who's hernias are too far advanced, or that have too much internal pressure for the minimalist design of the Comfort-Truss to work effectively. Therefore, we feel it would be misleading to say that it will absolutely work for everyone that uses it, and we do not offer a guarantee on our products.
We do not recommend wearing the Comfort-Truss while sleeping.
Yes, it will. There have been numerous 5 star reviews left by females that you can find by looking through the product reviews.

Comfort-Truss carries a warranty covering materials and workmanship for 30 days from the date of purchase.
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear including the small splits of the middle foam layer that can be seen especially on the edges of the leg strap in the groin area on the Minimalist version of the truss. This is completely normal and does not affect the efficacy of the belt. Although small splits in the foam layer are considered normal wear and tear, the fabric should not delaminate or fall apart. If this happens, please contact us.
If you feel you have a valid warranty claim please email us at info@comfort-truss.com and we will guide you on determining eligibility, and how to proceed with sending back the item(s).
Once your item(s) is received, we will send you an exact replacement of the item(s).Any warranty claim attempted that exceeds the 30-day cutoff will not be honored. Any received items will be discarded and no credit will be given.
FITTING
For Men:
Match your pants waist size to the chart shown on the product page.
If you wear your pants big or tight, you can follow theses instructions on how to get the exact right fit:
Measure low around the waist, above the wide point of the hips, about 1 inch above the top of the pubic bone. Once you have that measurement, subtract 2 inches and compare the result to the sizing chart on the product page.
Example:
Measurement 1 inch above the pubic bone = 33 inches
-2 inches = 31"
31" = Small on the size chart
If you are between sizes on the chart, it is best to go with the smaller size for the MInimalist Comfort-Truss, and go with the higher size in the HD version. The Minimalist version stretches a lot more than the HD version which is why we make this recommendation.
For Women:
Since women's bodies are much different than men, to make sure you get the correct size, you should measure low around the waist, above the wide point of the hips, about 1 inch above the top of the pubic bone. Then you can match that measurement to the corresponding waist size on the size chart referenced above and shown on the product pages.
If you are between sizes on the chart, it is best to go with the smaller size for the MInimalist Comfort-Truss, and go with the higher size in the HD version. The Minimalist version stretches a lot more than the HD version which is why we make this recommendation.
For the Minimalist Comfort-Truss:
If you are between sizes, you may want to consider going with the smaller size. When you first receive the Comfort-Truss, it will be a little tight (as it should be). You might have to stretch the waist strap up to 5" to get the velcro fastened. After wearing it for a few days it will start to break in and stretch out a bit.
For the Comfort-Truss HD:
The HD stretches much less than the Minimalist due to the thickness of the material, so if you are between sizes on the chart, consider going with the next size up.
It would be your left or right while looking down at yourself.
To choose between the single or double-side hernia belts would depend on if you have a hernia on only one side, or if you have hernias on both sides. If you have a hernia on one side, you should go with a single side hernia belt. If you have a hernia on both sides, you should go with a double side.
We do have some customers who only have a hernia on one side but prefer to wear a double-side belt because they like the even feeling of it covering both sides, but it would be completely personal preference. If you have a large hernia with a lot of internal pressure, that seems like it would be hard to keep in using a belt, you would want to go with the HD (Heavy Duty) version.
If your hernia is small and won't need much to keep it in place, the Minimalist would be better. There are many other factors that play into which one you should choose, such as comfortableness, durability, etc. Click here to see a comparison page showing the two different versions and their attributes next to each other: https://comfort-truss.com/pages/comfort-truss-comparison/
