FAQs

Comfort-Truss is designed for reducible inguinal hernias, both direct or indirect.

Most hernia belts are bulky, uncomfortable, and not designed for people who want to stay active or manage their hernia naturally. Comfort-Truss was created by someone who couldn’t find a belt that worked, so he made one that does. It’s lightweight, low profile, and supportive enough to wear all day, whether you’re waiting for surgery or pursuing natural recovery.

That really comes down to personal preference. I (George) personally wear the single-side hernia belt because I prefer to keep things as minimal as possible and avoid wearing anything more than I need. The single belt also allows for more targeted compression directly over the hernia, which usually makes it more effective at holding it in.

That said, plenty of people still choose the double-side hernia belt even with a hernia on just one side. Some like the way it feels more balanced from one side to the other, while others wear it as a preventative measure in case a hernia ever develops on the opposite side. It won’t cause any harm to go that route, but just keep in mind the double is a bit bulkier due to the extra leg strap and the wider front pad that covers both sides.

Yes, iComfort-Truss Minimalist was deigned to be worn under your underwear against the skin. This will give the best support, and also allow you to keep it on at all times throughout the day, even while using the toilet.

View our instructions page for info about how to correctly put on and take off the Comfort-Truss.

Comfort-Truss is designed with a minimalist approach that works well for most people, as reflected in our customer reviews. However, every hernia is different. In some cases, the hernia may be too advanced or internal pressure too great for our minimalist design to provide the desired support.

Because of this, we believe it would be misleading to guarantee that Comfort-Truss will work for everyone. While many people find relief using it, we do not offer a universal guarantee on the product.

We do not recommend wearing the Comfort-Truss while sleeping.

Yes, it will. Many women have used Comfort-Truss successfully, and several have left 5-star reviews sharing their positive experiences. You can find their feedback by browsing the product reviews on our site.

MY FIRST TIME TO TRY A HERNIA BELT

This didn't work out for me, my hernia is much lower than most therefor down in the narrow part of the belt where I need the support. how the one I have is that it is out and inside of my right Testi call bag at the point of the narrow strap not a normal place . thanks for tying to help KEN

    Ken, Hi Ken,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
Based on your description, it sounds like your hernia may not be fully reducible. If the hernia cannot be completely pushed back to where it originates, just above the edge of the pubic bone, then a hernia belt should not be worn. This applies not only to our belt, but to any hernia belt.
The purpose of a hernia belt is to help hold a fully reduced hernia in place. If the hernia bulge is still down near the leg strap or extending into the scrotum, it means the hernia has not been fully reduced, and applying pressure in that area is not appropriate.
We're sorry our belt wasn't the right solution for your situation, and we sincerely appreciate you giving it a try. We wish you the very best moving forward.

    Surprised!

I bought the minimalist first. It was of good quality but didn't stop the protrusion after sitting for long periods of time.

My hernia is bad, so I decided to try the Heavy Duty. It holds better, and I don't find its larger size to be a problem.

I have found that you can't just give up on these belts because they don't help at first. You need to experiment and find the adjustment that works best for you. In my case, I found that not over-tightening the leg strap helped more than clamping it down.

It's kind of hard to pop for this product knowing you can't return it, but I like the Idea that it hasn't been worn by other people or returned to Amazon multiple times.

    USE IT DAILY

I started having some inguinal hernia issues a year ago. Then after a transatlantic flight this summer, it became very uncomfortable and I finally decided I had to deal with it. I did online research about surgery and after reading numerous stories of just how long and painful recovery is, I decided that I needed a hernia belt. I ordered one from Amazon, not really happy with the selection but knew I needed to act fast. While waiting for that to be delivered, I happened upon a Comfort-Truss video, and was immediately struck with how logical and simple this hernia belt was! So I ordered one and wore it the next date after delivery and it is truly worth every penny. I put it on first thing in the morning, and it is very comfortable. I know it's there but I can do everything I need to do without any adjustments. I don't believe I'll ever be a candidate for surgery since finding Comfort-Truss!!!

    Not Helpful

Not as effective as my Hanger Metal belt. It was nice to wear against skin but it caused irritation not relief.
