Have you tried other hernia belts only to find that they feel like medieval torture devices? If so, you will never want to go back to them after trying the Comfort-Truss HD. The Heavy Duty Comfort-Truss was designed by George Hirst, an avid surfer, and extremely active person in response to all of the thick, bulky, uncomfortable hernia belts on the market made by companies who don’t actually have to use their product every day to manage a hernia.

It’s designed to be worn directly against the skin, under your underwear, which means you will never have to remove it to use the bathroom.  Since it’s cut from a single piece of 6mm thick breathable neoprene fabric with a rash free nylon spandex inner layer, it’s comfortable enough to wear all day every day and there is no chaffing. With a soft, supple, yet supportive 1/4” thick flat pad in the front, there is nothing digging into the hernia site while doing your favorite activities or just sitting at your desk. Just soft,  gentle support that moves with your body like a second skin.

The super soft and stretchy Tech Stretch binding sewn around the perimeter, and the reinforced velcro waist adds to the support level while giving it unmatched durability.  Designed specifically for those with an active lifestyle with a reducible inguinal hernia on either the left or right side who need more support or durability than the Minimalist Comfort-Truss can provide.

Use for reducible inguinal hernias on either the left or right side.

  • 6mm Breathable Fabric For Increased Support and Durability
  • Stretch Tech Edging
  • Easy Change Velcro Pad Pocket Enclosure
  • Flat, flexible 1/4” pad interchangeable with optional thicker pads (sold separately)
  • Designed to be worn directly against the skin with a rash free inner layer
  • No metal buckles = no embarrassing airport security shakedowns
  • Leave in place while using the toilet for both #1+2

Hand wash in luke warm water with mild detergent. Squeeze out excess water. Hang dry out of direct sunlight.

Same-day domestic and international shipping on orders for in-stock items placed before 2pm Eastern Standard Time (Weekends and holidays excluded).

Orders over $99 ship for free in the US. Choose Free Express Shipping at checkout.

Returns: Due to sanitary concerns and the fact that the Comfort-Truss is an undergarment, we only accept items for return that are still in the original, sealed, unopened package within 30 days of purchase.

Didn't work for me

I like the idea and feel of the truss, but for me it didn't work. I wore it four days and each time my hernia came out. It seems, to me, that the truss is a little to narrow, and also has to little padding coverage that suppose to apply pressure to the hernia. The padding is, and this is just visually guess-measuring, is 2 1/2 x 2 1/2, with one side cut to form a triangle. I feel if the padding was a little to small to be any help to me perhaps, and then the design is narrow enough, I can't add anything more then what you could normally add. And FYI, the last time I did it I needed a truss badly because I needed to get outside and work. So I strapped that thing on good and tight, far tighter then I know it should have been, and it still didn't work. Though I wish it had worked because the feel of it is wonderful compared to others I have tried that actually caused me to have chaffing/rubbed off skin after just wearing it for 20min. Also, anyone thinking of purchasing this, I read it doesn't come with padding, so I ordered padding. But it comes with a SM/M/L pad you can choose from.

Changed my life

I work very hard and was having a lot of pain. I saw an ad for you and decided to try it. It has made my life so much better! I have figured out, that I need to replace them faster than I was. I work hard, and they get stretched in time and not as effective. Thumbs up for sure!

Their customer service sucks

I ordered 2, it got lost at his Post office so I had to wait week's before they shipped replacement. I was desperate during those weeks of waiting so I found Curad for less than 20 bucks a piece. I live on a fixed income. If you got a deep wallet buy his. His customer service sucks in my opinion.

Awesome belt

As soon as I tried it on, I could feel the instant support. Love the adjustable Fit, and like that there is no large noticable lump to be seen. It is very comfortable and having it under my underwear makes it easier to use the restroom. Definitely Worth the cost. Thx for a great product!

Belt was very uncomfortable to wear, Pants were hard to button. My hernia for the most part, is unnoticeable, Sometimes when I ride my motorcycle it bothers me a little. I did not try it while riding my motorcycle yet. I just wore the belt to try it out. To be honest , I felt more uncomfortable wearing the belt, than not wearing it.

Comfort-Truss

Hey Kurt, Thanks for the review. It sounds like you might benefit from wearing the Minimalist belt instead of the HD. The Minimalist is half the thickness of the HD and has a much lower profile velcro which makes the belt overall much less bulky. The HD is designed more for those who have bigger hernias or a high amount of internal pressure pushing out the hernia which requires the thicker material to offer enough support. Please reach out to us if you have any questions about your options.

6MM FABRIC WITH STRETCH TECH EDGING

Sporting the same minimal single piece construction as the Original Minimalist Comfort-Truss, but the fabric is 2x thicker for an added level of support. The super comfy Stretch Tech edging and Heavy Duty velcro attachments provide a reinforced fit and long lasting durability.

LOW PROFILE DESIGN

Rides low around the waist so it cannot be seen sticking over the top of the waistband of your swim trunks. Breathable, all weather comfort, on land or in the water.

MODIFIED PAD POCKET

Pad Pocket has expanded opening and velcro closure for easier pad changes of 1/4" pad to available 3/8' or 1/2' thick pads.

Designed by an avid surfer and all-around active person so that it stays where it’s supposed to — no matter what your activity

FAQs

Comfort-Truss is designed for reducible inguinal hernias only.

This really comes down to personal preference. For me (George) personally I only wear the single side because I really do not like having to wear anything “extra” than what is absolutely necessary, but there are plenty of people who think along these lines and wear a double even though they only have a hernia on one side. It definitely will not hurt to do it that way. Just keep in mind that the double belt is a bit more bulky because of the extra leg strap and the wider pad in the front to cover both sides.

Yes, it was deigned to be worn under your underwear against the skin. This will give the best support, and also allow you to keep it on at all times throughout the day, even while using the toilet.

View our instructions page for info about how to correctly put on and take off the Comfort-Truss.

The Comfort-Truss holds minimalism at the forefront of it's design characteristics. Although it works well for most people who use it (as seen in our product reviews), there is a small percentage of people who's hernias are too far advanced, or that have too much internal pressure for the minimalist design of the Comfort-Truss to work effectively. Therefore, we feel it would be misleading to say that it will absolutely work for everyone that uses it, and we do not offer a guarantee on our products.

We do not recommend wearing the Comfort-Truss while sleeping.

Yes, it will. There have been numerous 5 star reviews left by females that you can find by looking through the product reviews.
