FAQs

Comfort-Truss is designed for reducible inguinal hernias, both direct or indirect.

Most hernia belts are bulky, uncomfortable, and not designed for people who want to stay active or manage their hernia naturally. Comfort-Truss was created by someone who couldn’t find a belt that worked, so he made one that does. It’s lightweight, low profile, and supportive enough to wear all day, whether you’re waiting for surgery or pursuing natural recovery.

That really comes down to personal preference. I (George) personally wear the single-side hernia belt because I prefer to keep things as minimal as possible and avoid wearing anything more than I need. The single belt also allows for more targeted compression directly over the hernia, which usually makes it more effective at holding it in.

That said, plenty of people still choose the double-side hernia belt even with a hernia on just one side. Some like the way it feels more balanced from one side to the other, while others wear it as a preventative measure in case a hernia ever develops on the opposite side. It won’t cause any harm to go that route, but just keep in mind the double is a bit bulkier due to the extra leg strap and the wider front pad that covers both sides.

Yes, iComfort-Truss Minimalist was deigned to be worn under your underwear against the skin. This will give the best support, and also allow you to keep it on at all times throughout the day, even while using the toilet.

View our instructions page for info about how to correctly put on and take off the Comfort-Truss.

Comfort-Truss is designed with a minimalist approach that works well for most people, as reflected in our customer reviews. However, every hernia is different. In some cases, the hernia may be too advanced or internal pressure too great for our minimalist design to provide the desired support.

Because of this, we believe it would be misleading to guarantee that Comfort-Truss will work for everyone. While many people find relief using it, we do not offer a universal guarantee on the product.

We do not recommend wearing the Comfort-Truss while sleeping.

Yes, it will. Many women have used Comfort-Truss successfully, and several have left 5-star reviews sharing their positive experiences. You can find their feedback by browsing the product reviews on our site.

    heavy duty

the thicker pad is better. Not sure the heavy weight belt is needed. I'll try putting the thick pad into the minimalist belt....

I was a little hesitant because of the price.....

.....but it's well worth it. I've been wearing it for a week, about 12 hours a day. Once I get the "micro adjustments" down, I almost forget it's even there. Thanks George!

    Double Hernia Belts Works!

I purchased both the Heavy duty and the Minimalist double hernia belts. I use the minimalist belt for everyday use and the Heavy Duty belt when performing heavier work. They allow me to do all activities in a normal matter. I continue to do core exercises which make a huge difference with less protrusion of hernia’s on both left and right side. I make sure both hernia’s are both back in place every time I put the belt on and periodically during the day when I can tell it’s out of place. I might add I was originally putting the belt over my underwear, but as recommended, I now put the belt on against the skin. This is definitely more effective in keeping the hernia’s in place. When they are in place, the pain level goes back to zero. I might add I am in my 60’s with a ultra running background and perform laborious outdoor work.

The design of belts are spot on and very effective. If you are looking for results in controlling the pain the bulging hernia can cause, then order up today!

    Comfortable and Effective

This is the only truss I would recommend. It is very well made and amazingly comfortable.

The double-sided belt provides superbly balanced support and I am glad I made that choice. The heavy-duty belt is not conspicuous beneath ordinary trousers, and for the first time in more than a year I can go through my daily routine largely unaware that I'm wearing a belt.

A person focused on total healing without surgery needs this belt. The meticulous attention to detail and careful craftsmanship is impressive. With the heavy-duty double belt, it is much easier to do the recommended exercises to expedite and facilitate total healing of the weakened muscles around the hernia. The belt also promotes better pelvic posture. I hope this review helps others on the rehabilitation road.

I never need to adjust the belt as I did with tour different, inferior belts.  Most of the time the belt was totally out of mind, as if I  were not wearing it.

For the first time in more than a year of using other belts, I can often take showers and the hernia (right side) does not come out.  At those times I do not need to hold it in with one hand while showering, I am very happy about that, and to be honest, somewhat surprised.    I didn’t expect such a rapid result.

I think that the balanced firmness of the double-side belt, using the thickest pad,  is a factor in this outcome.   The double-sided pad is a single unit. This makes the support very effective. The hernia is on only the…
