Real Reviews from Real Customers

I designed the Heavy Duty Single Side for people who need more support than the Minimalist provides, but still don’t want to wear one of those bulky traditional hernia belts.

It uses thicker 6mm material, so it feels more substantial and puts more pressure over the hernia while still staying flexible enough to move with you. I originally designed Comfort-Truss because I wanted something I could actually wear while surfing, working, exercising, and just going about my day without constantly thinking about my hernia, and the HD stays true to that mission.

The Heavy Duty Single is made for a reducible inguinal hernia on either the left or right side. It’s designed to be worn directly against the skin, stays low-profile under normal clothing, and moves with your body instead of feeling stiff and restrictive.

Why choose the Heavy Duty Single?

  • Thicker 6mm material for more support than the Minimalist
  • Designed for a hernia on either the left or right side
  • Low-profile enough to wear under everyday clothing
  • Flat support area that applies pressure directly over the hernia
  • Soft inner surface designed for all-day wear against the skin
  • Reinforced hook-and-loop waist closure
  • Designed so you can use the bathroom without taking the belt off
  • Flexible enough for work, exercise, travel, and everyday activity
  • No metal buckles means no worries about embarrassing airport security checks!

If the Minimalist doesn’t feel like quite enough support for you, the Heavy Duty Single is the next step up.

Orders over $99 qualify for free Standard Shipping within the U.S.

All orders ship on the next standard business day (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays).

Express Shipping is available at checkout for an upcharge.

Returns: Due to sanitary concerns and the fact that the Comfort-Truss is considered an undergarment, we only accept returns of items that are still in the original, sealed, unopened packaging within 30 days of purchase.

Hand wash in luke warm water with mild detergent. Squeeze out excess water. Hang dry out of direct sunlight.

Designed by an avid surfer and all-around active person

6MM FABRIC WITH STRETCH TECH EDGING

Sporting the same minimal single piece construction as the Original Minimalist Comfort-Truss, but the fabric is 2x thicker for an added level of support. The super comfy Stretch Tech edging and Heavy Duty velcro attachments provide a reinforced fit and long lasting durability.

LOW PROFILE DESIGN

Rides low around the waist so it cannot be seen sticking over the top of the waistband of your swim trunks. Breathable, all weather comfort, on land or in the water.

MODIFIED PAD POCKET

Pad Pocket has expanded opening and velcro closure for easier pad changes of 1/4" pad to available 3/8' or 1/2' thick pads.

FAQs

Comfort-Truss is designed for reducible inguinal hernias, both direct or indirect.

Most hernia belts are bulky, uncomfortable, and not designed for people who want to stay active or manage their hernia naturally. Comfort-Truss was created by someone who couldn’t find a belt that worked, so he made one that does. It’s lightweight, low profile, and supportive enough to wear all day, whether you’re waiting for surgery or pursuing natural recovery.

That really comes down to personal preference. I (George) personally wear the single-side hernia belt because I prefer to keep things as minimal as possible and avoid wearing anything more than I need. The single belt also allows for more targeted compression directly over the hernia, which usually makes it more effective at holding it in.

That said, plenty of people still choose the double-side hernia belt even with a hernia on just one side. Some like the way it feels more balanced from one side to the other, while others wear it as a preventative measure in case a hernia ever develops on the opposite side. It won’t cause any harm to go that route, but just keep in mind the double is a bit bulkier due to the extra leg strap and the wider front pad that covers both sides.

Yes, iComfort-Truss Minimalist was deigned to be worn under your underwear against the skin. This will give the best support, and also allow you to keep it on at all times throughout the day, even while using the toilet.

View our instructions page for info about how to correctly put on and take off the Comfort-Truss.

Comfort-Truss is designed with a minimalist approach that works well for most people, as reflected in our customer reviews. However, every hernia is different. In some cases, the hernia may be too advanced or internal pressure too great for our minimalist design to provide the desired support.

Because of this, we believe it would be misleading to guarantee that Comfort-Truss will work for everyone. While many people find relief using it, we do not offer a universal guarantee on the product.

We do not recommend wearing the Comfort-Truss while sleeping.

Yes, it will. Many women have used Comfort-Truss successfully, and several have left 5-star reviews sharing their positive experiences. You can find their feedback by browsing the product reviews on our site.

Heavy duty left side hernia belt

I was initially worried that the belt would be bulky and restrictive but am quite pleased with the design and ease of use. I commend George for designing this and appreciate his research into helping others achieve hernia relief. I was looking for a non surgical way to heal myself of this medium sized inguinal hernia ( using key exercises as well). It has just been 3 weeks and so far I am pleased with my progress. I am so grateful for this product!

    Best Hernia Belt

This is the best belt and hernia truss I have found to date. I tried some cheaper ones and they just did not work well and uncomfortable as well. This American Made Belt works like it is suppose to and is comfortable to wear , even all day long.

    heavy duty truss

Very well made and is very heavy duty. One problem I,m having is the cheek strap seems to be a little short

When its pulled to tighten it only reaches to the pad pouch which in my estimation makes the pad move out of place and causes irritating problems. Am I the only person who has this problem? Is there a cure and a fix? If so I would like to be able to fix this

    Thanks \

Hi Joe, the leg strap coming up to the pad pouch is normal. It shouldn’t push the pad out of place, though. If the pad is shifting, the waist strap may need to be tightened a little more. If you’re still having trouble, please reach out to us, and we’ll be happy to help you get it adjusted.
