6MM FABRIC WITH STRETCH TECH EDGING

Sporting the same minimal single piece construction as the Original Minimalist Comfort-Truss, but the fabric is 2x thicker for an added level of support. The super comfy Stretch Tech edging and Heavy Duty velcro attachments provide a reinforced fit and long lasting durability.

LOW PROFILE DESIGN

Rides low around the waist so it cannot be seen sticking over the top of the waistband of your swim trunks. Breathable, all weather comfort, on land or in the water.

Most hernia belts are bulky, uncomfortable, and not designed for people who want to stay active or manage their hernia naturally. Comfort-Truss was created by someone who couldn’t find a belt that worked, so he made one that does. It’s lightweight, low profile, and supportive enough to wear all day, whether you’re waiting for surgery or pursuing natural recovery.

That really comes down to personal preference. I (George) personally wear the single-side hernia belt because I prefer to keep things as minimal as possible and avoid wearing anything more than I need. The single belt also allows for more targeted compression directly over the hernia, which usually makes it more effective at holding it in.

That said, plenty of people still choose the double-side hernia belt even with a hernia on just one side. Some like the way it feels more balanced from one side to the other, while others wear it as a preventative measure in case a hernia ever develops on the opposite side. It won’t cause any harm to go that route, but just keep in mind the double is a bit bulkier due to the extra leg strap and the wider front pad that covers both sides.

    December 2025 Hernia story

    God's timing led me to ordering this belt. On the night before I was going in to have surgery, I saw my friend in public by chance and talked with him. He has a hernia too and told me his story, information, and things to consider. He explained that fascia is a special connective tissue he has studied and my hernia is not an emergency yet so why do the most drastic option first? He also said hernia mesh can negatively affect me and we don't know its effects 20 years from now. Then, from our conversation I remembered watching a YouTube video a year ago from "My Natural Hernia Cure". I ordered this belt that night and it arrived fast 3 days later. I have been wearing it since for 10 days and it works great! I work better without worry and it was nice not being weak on Christmas! I recommend this to anybody like me, if your hernia is not an immediate emergency and you are able bodied. The belt is well made and I always like to buy American made products! Thank you!

    Buy Comfort Truss!

    Do not hesitate to purchase Comfort-Truss! Do it! My husband is 80, and has an inguinal hernia he has had for some time (long story). We bought different types of belts and underwear with inserts, and nothing was really comfortable. Certainly nothing actually reduced the hernia. Sometimes he had groin pain.

    Listening to George Hirst on his videos immediately gave us something we needed – HOPE! We ordered the minimalist belt right away.

    In three days of wearing the minimalist belt, he took it off to shower and his hernia was half its typical size. After several more days we could not see it when he removed it to shower.

    We bought the heavy-duty belt next, and he finds the comfort of this even better (not sure why).

    My husband is no longer moving “carefully,” and is no longer anxious about if the hernia will “blow out” – he feels secure. It gives him what he describes as a “secure, solid feeling” – like it is well supported. He says “It’s like I don’t even have a problem.” “I feel normal.” The worry that was always in the back of his mind has been eliminated, and the worry in the forefront of his mind when he coughed or sneezed is also gone!

    The unexpected positive side effect of the Comfort Truss is that his urinary flow has also improved. That is positive!

    The singular complaint he has is that wearing it all day can make his skin underneath a little itchy. A bit of powder helps. We have multiples so he can always change to a clean one.

    Ineffective

    I have been using the standard issue of this belt for some time and was hoping this heavy duty model would be more effective at containing my hernia. It does not. The standard model helps prevent an extreme extension but I push it back in dozens of times a day. I was hoping that this would provide more pressure at the hernia but it does not. It is more uncomfortable however. Perhaps surgery is inevitable but I was hoping for a little more time to put it off. Oh well.

    Exceeds expectations

    Finally, something comfortable, lightweight, and it’s like not wearing anything. Besides that, it holds my hernia in place and feels perfectly fitted to my body. I would highly recommend this product for anyone suffering with an inguinal hernia.
