About Comfort-Truss
Built by Someone Who Needed It
Comfort-Truss was born out of necessity — not a boardroom. George Hirst, an avid surfer, was diagnosed with an inguinal hernia and faced a choice most active people dread: go under the knife, or find another way. He chose to find another way.
Unable to find a hernia support belt that was low-profile enough to wear under a wetsuit, discreet enough for everyday life, and effective enough to actually manage his symptoms, George designed one himself. That belt became Comfort-Truss.
Designed for Active Lifestyles
Every design decision starts with one question: Can you forget you're wearing it? Comfort-Truss belts are minimalist by intention — thin, breathable, and built to move with your body, not against it. Whether you're paddling out, hitting the gym, or just getting through a long workday, the goal is the same: reliable support that doesn't slow you down.
Our flagship Minimalist Single Side Belt has earned 2,214 reviews at 4.8 stars. Our Heavy-Duty Double Belt carries 189 reviews at 4.6 stars. These aren't marketing numbers — they're the result of real people managing real hernias and staying active.
Doctor Recommended
Dr. Shirin Towfigh — a board-certified hernia surgeon at the Beverly Hills Hernia Center and one of the most respected voices in hernia care — gave Comfort-Truss an unsolicited endorsement. She didn't reach out because we asked. She reached out because her patients were getting results.
"I recommend Comfort-Truss to my patients who want effective, comfortable hernia support while they manage their condition or prepare for surgery."

Our Mission
A hernia diagnosis shouldn't mean giving up the activities that define you. Comfort-Truss exists to give people the support — literally and figuratively — to stay active, stay comfortable, and make informed decisions about their health on their own timeline.
We're not a medical device company. We're a small brand built by someone who lived this problem, solved it for himself, and decided to share the solution with everyone else who needed it.
