Have you tried other hernia belts only to find that they feel like medieval torture devices? If so, you will never want to go back to them after trying the Comfort-Truss HD. The Heavy Duty Comfort-Truss was designed by George Hirst, an avid surfer, and extremely active person in response to all of the thick, bulky, uncomfortable hernia belts on the market made by companies who don’t actually have to use their product every day to manage a hernia.

It’s designed to be worn directly against the skin, under your underwear, which means you will never have to remove it to use the bathroom.  Since it’s cut from a single piece of 6mm thick breathable neoprene fabric with a rash free nylon spandex inner layer, it’s comfortable enough to wear all day every day and there is no chaffing. With a soft, supple, yet supportive 1/4” thick flat pad in the front, there is nothing digging into the hernia site while doing your favorite activities or just sitting at your desk. Just soft,  gentle support that moves with your body like a second skin.

The super soft and stretchy Tech Stretch binding sewn around the perimeter, and the reinforced velcro waist adds to the support level while giving it unmatched durability.  Designed specifically for those with an active lifestyle with a reducible inguinal hernia on either the left or right side who need more support or durability than the Minimalist Comfort-Truss can provide.

Use for reducible inguinal hernias on either the left or right side.

  • 6mm Breathable Fabric For Increased Support and Durability
  • Stretch Tech Edging
  • Easy Change Velcro Pad Pocket Enclosure
  • Flat, flexible 1/4” pad interchangeable with optional thicker pads (sold separately)
  • Designed to be worn directly against the skin with a rash free inner layer
  • No metal buckles = no embarrassing airport security shakedowns
  • Leave in place while using the toilet for both #1+2

Hand wash in luke warm water with mild detergent. Squeeze out excess water. Hang dry out of direct sunlight.

Same-day domestic and international shipping on orders for in-stock items placed before 2pm Eastern Standard Time (Weekends and holidays excluded).

Orders over $99 ship for free in the US. Choose Free Express Shipping at checkout.

Returns: Due to sanitary concerns and the fact that the Comfort-Truss is an undergarment, we only accept items for return that are still in the original, sealed, unopened package within 30 days of purchase.

Helps a ton!

Allowed me to continue working my construction job with much more confidence, wile I decide what route to take with this injury. Really appreciate the product. The 3/8” pad worked best for me.

Saved My Husband!

My husband likes the way he's able to camouflage his comfort- trust belt under his clothing. It's easy to wear and more manageable than other belts that he had tried to use. Short of surgery, this belt helps him a lot!

Thank You!

My story begins pretty much like most people who have to deal with an Inguinal Hernia. At first, it was just a small annoyance but over a month it started to bother me, to the point where I knew I needed some support down there. So, as most of us do, it was off to Amazon to search for something to support the area and hold the hernia behind the muscular wall. It worked kinda… meaning as long as you didn’t have gas moving through your digestive track you were going to be okay, but if you ate a high fiber diet there’s a lot of digestion of breaking down those foods. Let’s put it this way there is NO elastic belt with an elastic strap which goes between the legs and attaches to a flimsy elastic belt is going to hold that intestine behind the muscle wall. In fact, what was once a small tear became larger to about two golf balls and when it popped out is was hard and painful. Even laying down it took time before I was able to get it back behind the wall. I spoke to a friend of mine who hernia surgery and he indicated he was laid up for about six months having to be careful about everything he did and lifted. Since, I am taking care of my 99 year old aunt who is bed ridden and I need to lift her and move her around that was a no go. Everything I researched in trying to repair the hernia naturally was a no go and the ONLY way to repair that area was through surgery. So, for the past 3 years, I’ve suffered with the flimsy Amazon hernia belts which provided some relief but they were also unsightly putting a bulge in my pants that didn’t look natural as a matter of fact it kinda looked like a giant tumor (It’s not a tuma… LOL). The other thing with the hernia belts is that if you coughed, sneezed, or pooped you still needed to put some pressure against the pad to keep the hernia from popping out. The problem I found with all of the so called hernia belts on the market is that they are very flimsy with the elastic giving way to much give. I knew that in order to hold my hernia in I was going to need to find something that was going to be a lot more robust and stiff. I stumbled upon the Comfort-Truss website looking for something better and boy did I find it. At first I was just going to order one just to see if this would work but something told me just to go ahead and order 2. Delivery was fast. As soon as I received the order opened one of the packages and boy was I impressed. This truss is very well built with very little stretch in all areas and the leg strap is adjustable on the fly. It’s impressive how well this design actually holds an inguinal hernia behind the muscle wall. It’s been several days now and I’ve been able to sneeze, cough, and **** without needing to hold onto the pad area. Yesterday, was legs day and I was able to squat heavy again without having to deal with muscle wall squeezing the exposed intestine or causing the tear to become bigger. It was all contained very well behind the muscle wall in every movement I did pushing this comfort-truss to the limit. Another plus is that even with the heavy duty truss there’s no unsightly bulge it’s flat and unnoticeable under shorts or even pants. No one will ever know that you have a hernia unless you tell them. Thanks for giving me my life back without surgery.

Love this Belt!

I recently purchased the Heavy-Duty Single Side Hernia Belt and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This hernia belt has truly exceeded my expectations in every way. First and foremost, the quality is outstanding. The material is durable yet comfortable, providing the perfect balance of support and flexibility. I can wear it for extended periods without feeling any discomfort or irritation. It provides just the right amount of compression to alleviate discomfort without feeling restrictive. Whether I'm working out at the gym or simply going about my daily tasks, this belt has become an essential part of my routine.

6MM FABRIC WITH STRETCH TECH EDGING

Rides low around the waist so it cannot be seen sticking over the top of the waistband of your swim trunks. Breathable, all weather comfort, on land or in the water.

MODIFIED PAD POCKET

Pad Pocket has expanded opening and velcro closure for easier pad changes of 1/4" pad to available 3/8' or 1/2' thick pads.

Designed by an avid surfer and all-around active person so that it stays where it’s supposed to — no matter what your activity

FAQs

Comfort-Truss is designed for reducible inguinal hernias only.

This really comes down to personal preference. For me (George) personally I only wear the single side because I really do not like having to wear anything “extra” than what is absolutely necessary, but there are plenty of people who think along these lines and wear a double even though they only have a hernia on one side. It definitely will not hurt to do it that way. Just keep in mind that the double belt is a bit more bulky because of the extra leg strap and the wider pad in the front to cover both sides.

Yes, it was deigned to be worn under your underwear against the skin. This will give the best support, and also allow you to keep it on at all times throughout the day, even while using the toilet.

View our instructions page for info about how to correctly put on and take off the Comfort-Truss.

The Comfort-Truss holds minimalism at the forefront of it's design characteristics. Although it works well for most people who use it (as seen in our product reviews), there is a small percentage of people who's hernias are too far advanced, or that have too much internal pressure for the minimalist design of the Comfort-Truss to work effectively. Therefore, we feel it would be misleading to say that it will absolutely work for everyone that uses it, and we do not offer a guarantee on our products.

We do not recommend wearing the Comfort-Truss while sleeping.

Yes, it will. There have been numerous 5 star reviews left by females that you can find by looking through the product reviews.
