Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, it was deigned to be worn under your underwear against the skin.* This will give the best support, and also allow you to keep it on at all times throughout the day, even while using the toilet. *The first time you try on your new Comfort-Truss, try it on over your underwear to judge fitment in case you need to return it and get a different size. We do not accept returns that have been worn against the skin.

This really comes down to personal preference. For me (George) personally I only wear the single side because I really do not like having to wear anything “extra” than what is absolutely necessary, but there are plenty of people who think along these lines and wear a double even though they only have a hernia on one side. It definitely will not hurt to do it that way. Just keep in mind that the double belt is a bit more bulky because of the extra leg strap and the wider pad in the front to cover both sides.

As per our return policy, we can only take back items that are in brand new unworn condition. If your item is still in new condition, please take a look at our return policy for information on how to initiate a return.

If you are in between sizes, you may want to consider going with the smaller size. When you first receive the Comfort-Truss, it will be a little tight (as it should be). You might have to stretch the waist strap up to 5" to get the velcro fastened.  After wearing it for a few days it will start to break in and stretch out a bit.
Comfort-Truss is designed for reducible inguinal hernias only.

If you've bought a Comfort-Truss before, you know that we used to have a chart with sizes on it that was meant to allow you to take exact measurements at the location where the truss rides on the waist, but this proved to be quite confusing for a lot of people, so now you only need to know your pants waist size to get the correct size. Here is the chart to go off of to get your size right: Comfort-Truss Sizing Chart
